Neither outsourcing nor a placement agency: staff augmentation adds one person to your team, remotely, using your tools and your methods. Here is how it works, and when it’s the right choice.
01What the term covers
Staff augmentation means strengthening an existing team with a dedicated person, recruited and supported by a partner. The talent works for you, on your priorities, as a member of the team.
It is neither outsourcing, where you hand a deliverable over to a vendor, nor placement, where the agency disappears once the contract is signed.
02How it differs from outsourcing
With outsourcing, you buy an outcome and the vendor organizes the work. With staff augmentation, you stay in control of the organization: you set the priorities, you run the team meetings, you sign off on the work.
The talent uses your tools, follows your methods and speaks to your clients when needed. To your teams, they are a new hire, not a supplier.
03How an engagement works
You describe the role and the expected level. We search in Madagascar, run the interviews and assess the candidates’ French. You meet a short list and make the decision yourself.
Once the talent is in place, we remain your point of contact: a regular check-in, and quick support if anything needs adjusting.
You keep the final decision at every step. We don’t charge for the search.
04What you pay for, and what you don’t
Search and shortlisting are not billed. You pay for the talent’s work, on a clear monthly basis, with no recruitment fees.
On the roles entrusted to us, savings can reach 50% compared with hiring locally, depending on the profile and the market.
05When it’s the right choice
Staff augmentation is a good fit when the need is long-term, when your team already knows how to organize the work, and when you want to keep control of day-to-day operations.
For a one-off project with a fixed deliverable, a fixed-price engagement is often the better option. We will tell you so from the very first call.
